WHAT DO I NEED TO PACK? 2017-01-17T13:15:06-07:00

You will be responsible for purchasing and carrying your own food. We will be stopping for food in restaurants along the way from time to time as well as markets to re-stock our camping food supplies, which will consist of dinners and breakfast.
We will help you and will also be as accommodating as possible to special diet needs.

Proper riding gear is a must! We will cover this with you in more detail when we speak about the trip. Clothes are an area where people tend to over pack. Besides riding gear you will need layers for constant weather changes and sleeping in a tent. You may want a separate set of clothes/shoes to wear around camp and in town when we stay at a hotel and go to a restaurant. When we talk about scheduling your trip, we will send you a spreadsheet of ideas on what to bring.

If you have a good set of tools it is not a bad idea to bring them. Some people like to be self-sufficient. If you don’t have any or want to save room we should have enough tools to fix or repair most bikes on the fly.

WHAT ELSE DOES W38M OFFER? 2017-01-17T13:13:03-07:00

Our goal is to share our passion for riding off road on adventure and dual sport motorcycles with everyone else who doesn’t know quite how to get into this but really wants to! We were all new at this once as well, and it we had challenges finding good information about products, trips, groups, and classes. We want to be your resource for finding not only everything you need, but the best the industry has to offer. (And then go riding!)

WHAT KIND OF RIDING DO YOU PROVIDE? 2017-01-17T13:12:25-07:00

Our tours are geared for beginners and seasoned on and off road riders. We follow some of the best roads in the West covering most of the Back Country Discovery Routes. The terrain we will be covering is off road and most of it is suitable for beginner riders. There are more challenging sections that we will assess as we figure out the comfort level of the group. Our guides are professionals and will always make the right decision based on the safety of the entire group.

Packing: You will want to pack lightly, efficiently, and in a way that encourages proper bike performance. We can help you with that! We have been on many lightweight backpacking adventures and have logged tens of thousands of miles camping in remote areas off many different motorcycles.

WHAT KIND OF MOTORCYCLE DO I NEED? 2017-01-17T13:11:19-07:00

Any motorcycle can be converted into a dual sport bike. Heck, we know people who have converted their Harleys into adventure bikes! But if you have one that’s already capable of off-road riding, you can get started a little sooner. Many brands of bikes are readily available and having ridden and owned most of the major OEM’s popular dual sport bikes we can help you find the bike that fits you best.
